About Central UMC Preschool
Central UMC Preschool is a kindergarten readiness program designed to provide children with a strong educational foundation before they begin elementary school. Our goal is to help each child develop the academic, social, emotional, and physical skills needed to enter Kindergarten with confidence.
We believe young children learn best through a balance of structured learning, hands-on activities, creative play, and positive social interaction. Our experienced teachers create a warm, welcoming environment where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, solve problems, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Our preschool serves 3 and 4-year-old children who are potty trained.
Classes meet:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
During the school year, children participate in activities that build:
- Early literacy and language skills
- Number recognition and beginning math concepts
- Fine and gross motor development
- Social and emotional skills
- Listening and following directions
- Independence and self-confidence
- Creativity through art, music, and imaginative play
Our curriculum is designed to prepare children for a successful transition into Kindergarten by fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning in a supportive, small-class environment.
